FPT Software AI Residency
FPT Software AI Residency is a competitive two-year program designed to nurture and develop Vietnamese young talent in artificial intelligence (AI) research. Participants receive guidance from world-renowned mentors and scientists while honing their skills in a dynamic and innovative environment. Through a partnership with Mila, one of the world's leading AI research institutes, the program provides residents with a world-class training experience and a transformative opportunity to advance their careers in AI.

Founded in 1993 by Professor Yoshua Bengio, 2018 A.M. Turing Award winner, “the Nobel Prize of Computing,”, Mila is globally acclaimed for its groundbreaking contributions to AI. It hosts the world’s largest concentration of academic researchers specializing in deep learning. The institute is renowned for its expertise in areas such as language modeling, machine translation, object recognition, and generative models. From its inception, Mila has centered its mission on advancing research in key areas like healthcare, environmental sustainability, climate change, and AI ethics. Committed to leveraging AI for societal benefit, Mila employs an Open Science approach to encourage collaboration and facilitate knowledge sharing, reinforcing its role as a leader in the AI research community.

Frequently ask questions
1. Will I be paid and receive benefits during the AI Residency?
Yes. AI Residents are compensated with a competitive fixed package of $13,000 annually and are eligible for benefits as a full-time employee at FPT Software, including FPT Care.
2. How long is the FPT Software AI Residency program?
24 months
3. Is this a part-time program?
No. The AI Residency is only offered as a full-time position. It is not possible to combine this with university study or another paid job. However, students who nearly complete your studies are welcome to apply.
4. Can I do the Residency remotely?
No, AI Residents will be expected to work on-site at our office: FPT Tower (Hanoi) & F-Town3 (HCMC)
5. What options will be open to me at the end of the program?
The AI Residency provides excellent preparation for applying to top graduate programs in machine learning. AI Residents are also encouraged to apply for Engineer positions at FPT Software after completing the program.
6. Is there a fee associated with this program?
The are no fees to apply for the program.
